MEET THE FOUNDER

Francesca Reicherter is the Founder and President of Inspiring My Generation, a nonprofit dedicated to suicide prevention through awareness, education, and support. Currently an MFT Psychology student at Pepperdine University, Francesca’s work is deeply inspired by her mental health journey. After losing her uncle to suicide in January 2019, just 27 days after her first suicide attempt, she committed herself to making mental health resources accessible and stigma-free.

Francesca hosts "Normalize The Conversation by Inspiring My Generation," a podcast series with over 200 episodes that amplifies the voices of mental health professionals and advocates. She spearheads an initiative that has donated over 20,000 handmade encouragement cards to patients hospitalized in a psychiatric unit in collaboration with volunteers around the country. She has authored six workbooks, including "You Are Not Alone: The Workbook," "I AM," "How Are You? The Workbook," "Self Care," "Your Thoughts Matter: The Workbook," and “Setting Boundaries: The Workbook.”

A sought-after speaker, Francesca has delivered keynote speeches at events like NAMI CA 2022 Annual Youth Conference. She presented a session on Mental Health Conversations at the NAMI FL 2022 Annual Conference. Francesca was also a panelist at the When The Music Stops 2022 Annual Summit. Furthermore, she recently spoke on virtual panels for Magellan Health and for the National Federation of Families. She did a fireside chat at the 2023 Mind Out Loud Event, presented at the 2023 Brave Summit, and presented on her own experience and innovative ways to reduce suicide at NAMI Con 2023. In 2024, she spoke at Bridging The Gap Conference, CrisisCon, and Discovering Mental Wealth Conference.

Her work has been featured in the Kindness Channel and IDontMind Journal. She was a top finalist at the RevolutionHER 2022 Summit for Impact in Leadership and was honored as a Peer Recovery Champion at the NAMI FL 2022 Annual Conference. Her organization was featured on NBC6 South Florida in September 2022. In 2021, Francesca was named an Amplifier by the ConversationaLIST Awards. In 2024, she was honored as a Young Innovator in Behavioral Health by Behavioral Health Tech.

Francesca is an advocate for policy change and has been part of a coalition working to secure funding for 988 (2023) and pass the updated Baker Act Bill (2024) in the State of Florida.

Additionally, she is the creator of Gracefully Chaotic, an online membership site providing authentic vulnerable insights and motivation to women.

Francesca’s mission is to provide preventative resources, eliminate barriers to mental health support, and normalize conversations about mental well-being to prevent others from experiencing the pain of losing a loved one to suicide.
